Dear Friends,

In the few short months that have passed since A Travel Guide to Heaven was published, I have received thousands of letters, emails and faxes from people who have read the book. The overwhelming majority of these have been extremely positive. Some have been beautiful and heartbreaking and have spoken about the pain of losing loved ones. Some have been respectful yet critical of my theology. A couple have been downright nasty! (But these were usually from folks who are repelled by the whole notion of God and Heaven to begin with.) No matter what the letters have said, though, ALL of them have been deeply appreciated. Whenever someone takes the time to write to me, I feel it is a great compliment, and I want to take the opportunity now to thank you.

Unfortunately, because of my heavy travel schedule, and because of the large volume of correspondence I am getting, it is literally impossible for me to personally respond to everyone. I want you to know, however, that I read every single comment that is posted on this contact page, every morning, no matter where in the world I happen to be. I read all of them with respect, interest, and gratitude. Some of them encourage me greatly, and give me a much-needed lift, as I make my way through these busy, exciting, but sometimes hectic days. Thank you all, again, very much.

Warmest regards and prayers,

Anthony

Message: I stumbled across your book at a christian bookstore in Anchorage Alaska. Bought it , couldn't put it down, and have since bought several and given them to friends. I re-read your book often, as it refreshed my hope and expectation about spending eternity in such a wonderful place. I especially like your thoughts about our being able to think ourselves to distant galaxies, take a friend with us and explore for hundreds of years as if we were just on an outing. Great book, one of the best I've ever read, actually up there with AW Tozer, John Piper, CW Lewis, but more fun and encouraging,

Message: Hi Anthony, Just wanted you to know your book did help ease my mind about my Mom and Sister and it also got me reading the Bible again. I started looking up the scriptural references you provided in your book. So your book has helped me in more ways then one. It has also helped other family members. Thank you

Message: I have just read and enjoyed your book; it left me with the impression that I only have to lead a "good enough" life to get to Heaven after I die. This is bothersome; what is "good enough" and how will I know, beforehand, that my life has been good enough? It is only by the grace of God, extended to me as a completely unworthy human being, that I can enter into Heaven. All that I do will be done in gratitude to God for providing salvation for me through his Son; what I do will not be done in an attempt to be good enough to go to Heaven.

Message: You people are going to regret the day you ever appreciated this Satanic dog dung and threw it in the face of God's people. I will appreciate seeing the expression on your faces when you find out that God is not a super travel agent running a 5 star resort in heaven for you. This book was not inspiried by the Holy Spirit but by Satan himself. You are blinder than the unsaved and more foolish and worthy of greater punishment. May God judge you now and and expose your distractive blasphemy to His children.

Message: Thank You for being guided by the Holy Spirit to write such a wonderful book. My Husband and Daughter were killed a year ago in a tragic private pilot crash and this book has served very well in uplifting me. I am a practicing catholic and believer, my faith has not been tested but my grief seems so heavy. Your book was wonderful. Again thank you and God Bless

Message: Hi Anthony, I game across your book while I was grieving the loss of a very close friend of mine who died suddenly at the age of 49. I provided tremendous comfort and strength to me. Since that time I have started using your book as part of my ministry as a Hospice chaplain. I often read chapters of the book to the patients I am caring for who are getting to ready to leave on their final journey. Bill Meyer SonRise Community Church Toms River, NJ

Message: The Gospel singer Andre Crouch, recorded a song several years ago entitled:"Take Me Back To When I First Believed." The lyrics express an encounter with God which at once describes the transcendent joy and peace that passes all understanding. I believe it was C.S Lewis who quipped: "People ( of faith ) don't need instruction, they simply need to be reminded". Your book did two things for me and for which I am profoundly grateful and appreciative: 1. It took me back to when I first believed and 2. It jogged my memory. By the way, regarding your invitaion to eat spaghetti and drink Chianti in St.Mark's Square in Venice a million years hence, I accept. I'll be the one wearing a Red Sox cap.

Message: Anthony: What an experience! The book helped me greatly to better accept death and to better understand what has happened to some of my good friends and relatives. I am prompted by the book to follow a religious path and pray for friends who left suddenly in accidents and had no time to confess - I hope that asking God for mercy may help them to realize Heaven. Thanks for a great system of thoughts.
