Dear Friends,

In the few short months that have passed since A Travel Guide to Heaven was published, I have received thousands of letters, emails and faxes from people who have read the book. The overwhelming majority of these have been extremely positive. Some have been beautiful and heartbreaking and have spoken about the pain of losing loved ones. Some have been respectful yet critical of my theology. A couple have been downright nasty! (But these were usually from folks who are repelled by the whole notion of God and Heaven to begin with.) No matter what the letters have said, though, ALL of them have been deeply appreciated. Whenever someone takes the time to write to me, I feel it is a great compliment, and I want to take the opportunity now to thank you.

Unfortunately, because of my heavy travel schedule, and because of the large volume of correspondence I am getting, it is literally impossible for me to personally respond to everyone. I want you to know, however, that I read every single comment that is posted on this contact page, every morning, no matter where in the world I happen to be. I read all of them with respect, interest, and gratitude. Some of them encourage me greatly, and give me a much-needed lift, as I make my way through these busy, exciting, but sometimes hectic days. Thank you all, again, very much.

Warmest regards and prayers,

Anthony

Message: Dear Anthony Destefano My mother died. Her heart stopped. It happened very quick. I feel very alone. I never married. I never met anyone. Would you ask God to send my soulmate to my church before December 25 Christmas. I feel very alone. I talk to her all the time. Do you think prayer will really work? Kathy kathycox2@yahoo.com

Message: It looks like a great book. My own book, 777 Things You Can Do In Heaven (still available online), seems to have come from a mirror inspiration. My own book didn't take off, but it was self-published. I guess you had a few more helps along the way. Good for you. Be blessed. Ken Clifton http://providential-plan.com/heaven-things.html

I currently work in law enforcement now, but had an advanced degree from Johns Hopkins University and am a published writer...and I would love to teach in the Bahamas. Any ideas? Kindest regards, John Sakowicz

Message: Dear Anthony, I picked up your book yesterday at Barnes and Noble and could not put it down!!!! I read 2/3 of it at the store before my husband said "We really need to go they are closing!!" OH MY GOSH! I believe I picked up your book for a reason. I bet my guardian angel steered me to it! You cannot understand how theraputic your book was for me! I am a cradle Catholic and I love my faith. The only thing I have been having trouble with is being able to visualize heaven without fear! That's gone now! I finished your book today and am full of anticipation and joy about our final destination. SO, thank you, thank you, thank you! Please write another one. God Bless you and your family! P.S. Have you ever seen the movie, "What Dreams May Come"? It popped into my head as I was reading your book. If I could have picked a perfect illustration of heaven as you described, it would be that movie. There's a great seen where Robin Williams is running through a meadow of flowers, but as he steps, it's like he's walking through puddles of paint. It's gorgeous!!! Thanks again! God Bless, Taylor Fogo

Message: Dear Anthony,Out of your pain,a wonderful book was written.I had many thoughts ,some I will share today and hopefully later also.My heart goes out to the vet Molinus in this guestbook.A priest wondered why we would want to talk with anyone else if Jesus entered a room.Well in heaven ,we all reflect Jesus and all yucky old problems with people we knew on earth are gone. Have you been to Medjugorge? To me time is the earth in relation to the sun,a bit of eternity that we live in now.Recently, the Pope said heaven is a state of being not a place. It would be nice to have cheesecake there since angels are reported to have come to dine in the Bible.Just to be therewith God I'll take it as it as is.The spirit can't be confined and someone said that the body is contained in it.Through Jesus' Redemption,we will be higher than the angels in our perfected state.I believe in the EXISTENCE of the devil, his demons, and that hell is real.Semantics are important.I believe in God .Tired.Tallyho.

Message: Thank you so much for writing a book like this! I also picked it up this am and couldn't put it down until I finished it. It is the best book I have ever read. It made me laugh and cry. I am going to buy a copy for each of my family members as a gift so they can experience what I just have. As a catholic it just makes sense.

Message: I wanted to thank you for your wonderful book, as it has greatly helped me deal with the recent deaths of my mom and my dear wife of 38 years. They died 3 days apart , and now, four months later, doctors tell me I will soon be faced with the death of my father. In the midst of my grief, I am now filled with the hope and faith that I will be with them again in a better way than ever in a very physical place, thanks to you. As my wife and I were very close and shared many wonderful years together, I was previously very troubled about about Jesus' response about the woman with many husbands, as I simply could not view heaven as a great place without being married to my dear wife. With your explanation of this scripture, I now see why there is no marriage in heaven, and, for the first time in my life of 60 years, I actually look forward to meeting our Lord, in this wonderful place. God bless you and your family.

Message: Thank you, Anthony, for the reminder that heaven is going to be a beautiful and FUN place to be! My son Rory Gerald Fallon was born prematurely on December 19, 2003, and died 2 hours later in my arms. After the numbness wore off, I found no comfort in thinking of Rory as a spiritual being... my arms ached to hold my baby, and I sobbed, believing I never would again. You reminded me that it will be my flesh and blood child who is resurrected, and that in Heaven I'll get to know him as a baby, a child, and a man. There is no greater gift than hope, and that's what you've given me. "Thank You" will have to suffice for now... but after the first couple centuries of playing with my son in Heaven, I'm gonna seek you out and give you a HUGE hug!!! I'll probably have to stand in line, but it will be well worth it. Bless you!
