Dear Friends,

In the few short months that have passed since A Travel Guide to Heaven was published, I have received thousands of letters, emails and faxes from people who have read the book. The overwhelming majority of these have been extremely positive. Some have been beautiful and heartbreaking and have spoken about the pain of losing loved ones. Some have been respectful yet critical of my theology. A couple have been downright nasty! (But these were usually from folks who are repelled by the whole notion of God and Heaven to begin with.) No matter what the letters have said, though, ALL of them have been deeply appreciated. Whenever someone takes the time to write to me, I feel it is a great compliment, and I want to take the opportunity now to thank you.

Unfortunately, because of my heavy travel schedule, and because of the large volume of correspondence I am getting, it is literally impossible for me to personally respond to everyone. I want you to know, however, that I read every single comment that is posted on this contact page, every morning, no matter where in the world I happen to be. I read all of them with respect, interest, and gratitude. Some of them encourage me greatly, and give me a much-needed lift, as I make my way through these busy, exciting, but sometimes hectic days. Thank you all, again, very much.

Warmest regards and prayers,

Anthony

Message: I am a subscriber to BeliefNet and came across an advertisement for your book and linked to it. I ordered 4 books. One to give to a dear friend whos daughter was in my daughter's class who passed away on June 8th. Both of our daughters' have(had ) a seizure disorder and my friend's daughter did not make it. I have found it so difficult to contact her since my daughter is a survivor (to dat) and actally never suffered the life threatening seizures my friends daughter had. I am hoping this book will bring some comfort her way. I have yet to read it but am looking forward to doing so. When my Dad passed away in 2002 it was his strong faith that carried me through. As I sat with him as he was taking his last breaths I told him to go with the angels. God was waiting to welcome him home. We would all be fine and take care of one another. He then took his last breath and went. I immediately felt a peaceful calm surround me and have been accepting of his passing ever since. It is a blessing to have a faith in heaven where we will all meet again. I'll try to stop by to chat again after I read your book. Peace to you this holiday season. Merry Christmas. Rosemary

Message: I enjoyed your book, very much. After completing it I am going to give it to my daughter. She has a meditation room in her home and uses it. I know she will enjoy reading this book. I have a couple of suggestions for you, if you reprint this book. On page 37 the word (ever) you mean NEVER. Near the end of this page. On page 62 the word (healthy) you mean HEALTHIER. At the near end of this page. God blessings to you and email, if you write another book. Happy Holidays. Carol

Message: Two years agao, our precious 36 year old daughter died of cancer, leaving a loving husband and two beautiful little boys. Her boys and I plus her Dad miss her incredibly. Your book was wonderful to read and it has led me to ask the question: Did you write it with humour in mind and/or is this what you really believe heaven to be? I hope you can answer me sometime. Your book gave me comfort.

Message: I have recently lost my 2 year old son, mother in law and grandmother in law in the tornado that touched down at 2:00am in Evansville Indiana on November6, 2005. I have to admit, I have had my fair share of anger initially. Now that I have read the Travel Guide to Heaven, I have gained some peace and comfort in knowing that I will have the opportunity to see my family again. Although I have more questions, I feel that my family is now safe and that I can look forward to seeing them again in heaven. Thank You for your insight and clarifying things in the book for me. This will make the grieving process for me a little more manageable.

Message: As a hospice chaplain, I picked up your book with enthusiasm this morning, after having received a free copy of it from your office. I was very pleasd to read in your introcution the advice to leave behind, among other things, one's "closed-mindedness." I was then extrememly disappointed to read on page 3, your derogatory reference to "'new age' gurus." Much uplifting and inspiring metaphysical interpretation of Jesus' teachings comes from those whom you term, "new age gurus," and it seems very closed-minded of you to fail to recognize this and to refer to them in what seems to be a disparaging manner. I have lost all enthusiasm for your book.

Message: Anthony I just loved your book. I lost my mother 10 months ago, and this book has helped me so much. I love my mother more than anyone in the world, and to know she is waiting for me, along with my other family members & PETS, of course, is the most I could ask for in life. To be forgiven & saved, so I can be with my loved ones, is the most important thing to me. Thanks so much for this wonderful, uplifting book.

Message: Thank you for this book! I am a believer - not a doubter!- and know that you are blessing many people. One of my favorite chapters is the one on pets. When my beloved mutt Archie died, the Lord gave me a heavenly vision of him prancing around His feet. He said to me,"Mary Ann, you should see him run up here!" That settled the matter. I have several other pets there as well, and what a time we'll all have. How wonderful to see that our wonderful Heavenly Father has revealed that to you as well. And as far as those family reunions - yes, I am equally sure of those! When my mother died a few years ago, the Lord told me that she'd indeed been reunited with my father and that they were dancing together in heaven! Wow! Glory to God!
