We'd like to know what you think about our Travel Guide to Heaven web site. Please leave your comments in this public guest book so we can share your thoughts with other visitors.
In the few short months that have passed since A Travel Guide to Heaven was published, I have received thousands of letters, emails and faxes from people who have read the book. The overwhelming majority of these have been extremely positive. Some have been beautiful and heartbreaking and have spoken about the pain of losing loved ones. Some have been respectful yet critical of my theology. A couple have been downright nasty! (But these were usually from folks who are repelled by the whole notion of God and Heaven to begin with.) No matter what the letters have said, though, ALL of them have been deeply appreciated. Whenever someone takes the time to write to me, I feel it is a great compliment, and I want to take the opportunity now to thank you.
Unfortunately, because of my heavy travel schedule, and because of the large volume of correspondence I am getting, it is literally impossible for me to personally respond to everyone. I want you to know, however, that I read every single comment that is posted on this contact page, every morning, no matter where in the world I happen to be. I read all of them with respect, interest, and gratitude. Some of them encourage me greatly, and give me a much-needed lift, as I make my way through these busy, exciting, but sometimes hectic days. Thank you all, again, very much.

I felt the book was a great perspective on how to look at heaven. It's great to give people an idea outside what we are used to thinking of heaven. It was easy to read on the fact that everything was phrased as if you the author was talking to me personally. One thing though that I found annoying is on how on almost every chapter certain sentences were being repeated. It's ok but after a while, I get the point. It was great that in the begining you showed that nothing you state goes against what your beliefs, and how everything you said comes from the bible and relates on how heaven is supposed to be was an eye-opener. The book was great and I have already recommended it to friends not on the bases that it was life changing but that it was great to read. Thanks for providing the book.

Hi, my name is Amy Yu. I am currently a student at St. John's University. I want to thank you for your book. The book was very motivational and easy to read. I never thought of heaven as a place on earth. I always thought it was a place you had to work towards to reach. With your book, I am able to see how it is attainable and how it can exist. Heaven has always been the unknown, a mystery... with your book it gave me an idea of how it could be like. I find this book truly inspirational and I would recommend it to everyone I know.

While I found your book sensible and easy to read, I must say there was nothing that seperated it from the rest meaning I read books similar to that and they all just sound like opinions with no facts (stated scriptures with elaboration) to back it up. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the book and was enlighted to hear your views but I was expecting something different, something that could help with raised doubts or concerns for the readers about whether or not heaven really does exist. While I do felt you tried to talk to the readers in a simplify way about heaven, I still felt it was too spiritual for the average reader who may need it told as natural as possible. Thankyou again for the opportunity to read your book and express my personal opinion on your book.

Hello, my name is Tiye Murry. I am a student a St.John's University and I was given your book to read by my professor. I found your book to be very enlighteneing on the subject of heaven. I was raised in a Christian home but the way I viewed heaven was the way it is displayed in the media. Once I read your book my perspective on heaven has changed. Your book has put has put my mind at ease for those who I have lost. The way you related the bible to heaven was impressive. And it actually encourages me to become spiritual and appreciate what God is offering and to take advantage while I still can.

Hi my name is ana pena I'm a student at st john's university and I read your book for my theology class. I must say that your book gave me a great insight about heaven. In the past years I have lost a number of people whom I care about. Your book gave me a sense of comfort and knowledge about the place where they are at. It also allowed me to feel what it will be like to be in heaven. I am very thankful for being able to read your book. I hope your book continues to be a great success.

I am a student at St. John's University and I read the book for my theology class. I think the book gives a great insight into the true nature of heaven. I feel that the book is very comforting. Last year I lost many friends in car accidents and the book gave me some piece of mind. The book was the first time that I really heard of scripture references on the nature of heaven and what it will be like. It's very informative especially for those who are Catholic because it does give more Catholic references. I thought the book was well thought out and written and it was easy enough for anyone to understand and appreciate--Christian or not.

Greetings, I am a student in Professor Flanagan's class as well, and would like to express my thanks in your kind donation. The book was definitely a worthwhile read, especially in this time of my life. My father is in hospice care after a long and horrible crusade against cancer. In the midst of this tragedy, I did a massive amount of research on everything ranging from cancer, hospitals, medications, to what to do with post-mortem remains, wills, and bereaverment. It never occurred to me to research heaven. Being of a Catholic faith, my family was never too religious, however we have a profound belief in God. I find comfort in the fact that my father claims to be at peace, and isn't afraid of death. This very idea is strange to me, but there is no one I admire more than my father, and I know if he doesn't fear it, there is nothing to fear. Your book helped make this concept a little clearer to me. Thanks.

I am currently a student at St. John’s University and I have read your book for a Christian Social Teaching course. Thank you for donating your book to my classmates and I. I am scared of the mystery of death and what to expect of it. Your book offered such a nice and relaxing insight on what heaven is and what is to be expected. Do you truly believe in what you wrote? Are you scared of what to expect? As interesting as your book was I think it’s a bit unrealistic, I really do hope that it is how you say it is, but I think heaven will be different. We will be happy but in a different place than here on Earth. Thanks once again.

I am from Professor Flanagan class for theology I think travel guide to heaven was a good book. It made me think outside the box of what heaven would look like and what we would do, before reading this book like most people I thought heaven would be walking on clouds and us people like angels and play harps all day, After reading this book it gave me some wild imagination, we could do whatever we want or be whatever we wanted as long as we wanted, heaven is like earth only much better. No one has been to heaven and came back so we don’t really know what it is, but reading this book it gives us a better understanding of the place.

I attend St. John's Univesity and have read your book for my Christian Social Teaching class. Like you stated in your book heaven is a place that people have no account of. No one has went there and came back. Even so I believe you made the transition a littel more plausible for people here on earth because you gave an insight to heaven as being an actual place not just some fairy tale with clouds. I beileve that you illustrated that heaven is whatever an individual thinks as fun, therefore for every person heaven will be slighty different on his or her own account of fun. That must be pretty great, living in heaven's hotel at no expense with all the accomendations in the world!
